I'm wondering if there is a way to have the TSRE consist editor show train information in imperial, versus metric? This would be helpful when determining train lengths and weights to match North American railway standards.
Cheers,
Jason
TSRE Consist Editor Metric versus Imperial
Imperial support is planned in the future.
You know... Americans really need to adopt metric. Since 2002, I have been making MSTS content using metric measurements in the modeling program I use. It really isn't that much trouble to just start using and before long, it feels natural. It's certainly easier to deal with than fractional sizes. I find now that even if have a software tool I use has imperial and metric support, I just use metric. Keeping a calculator handy that does LENGTH calculations also eases the transition.
If we haven't done it in 40 years since the Jimmy Carter days, it's never going to happen.
Besides, my track charts show siding length in feet and my special instructions show requirements for trains of certain US weights and and that's why I still need imperial for my consist editor.
