At the moment if we want to bring in objects from another route (either our own or with permission :) ), we need to use Route Riter which copies across all the shape, texture (including seasonal) etc. files and creates or copies a reference file entry. That means coming out of the editor, loading Route Riter and trying to identify from the shape file name the part(s) you need.

Would it be easy to put this functionality into TSRE? The icing on the cake would also be a thumbnail image of the item you're copying.

There is no way to functionally do this in TSRE5 that I know. But I would like to suggest you don't go with any short trick, make .ref file yourself one by one 8-) 8-) .

Hi Folks,

Glad to hear - very useful...

Hopefully - you might be able to have a “lab” folder added to this function - so that any objects you may want to edit - it grabs all the associated files (s, sd, ace) - as do dumps them in this working directory... We make our edits - then TSRE puts them all back in their appropriate directories with our changes... When making edits to objects on a route - it can take a great deal of time to hunt down all the asssociated files...

Thanks...

Regards,
Scott
